A Bit About Heivanui
Born and raised in Tahiti, Heivanui Wong’s story begins on the shores of a sacred island where the rhythms of the ocean, ancestral chants, and the scent of tiare flowers were the backdrop of her childhood. At the age of 18, she left her homeland to pursue higher education, carrying with her not only dreams of the world but a deep longing to one day return and honor the place that shaped her.
Now, decades later and with a lifetime of global experiences woven into her story, Heivanui has answered that calling. Luxe Life Tahiti was born from her desire to create something lasting, meaningful, and rooted in reverence for her people, her heritage, and the unique spirit of French Polynesia. As a seasoned traveler, content creator, and storyteller, she bridges the gap between cultures—inviting the world not just to visit Tahiti, but to experience it with heart.
Through Luxe Life Tahiti, Heivanui curates intentional journeys that blend barefoot luxury with cultural depth. Her vision is more than tourism—it’s reclamation, celebration, and empowerment. She seeks to uplift local voices, nurture creative collaborations, and cultivate a space where Polynesian identity is honored, not diluted.
As co-founder of the Tahiti Film Society, Heivanui is also pioneering the Tahiti International Film Festival—a cultural initiative designed to spotlight stories from across the Pacific and amplify the region’s artistic contributions on the world stage.
